Terms of Service | Mei Terminal

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Mei Terminal, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Description of Service

Mei Terminal provides on-chain DeFi risk intelligence — including risk analysis, an AI agent (Kewe), on-chain news, and related analytics. The Terminal may also include experimental, participation, and on-chain features such as Embers and the Mei Vault.

3. Not Financial Advice

IMPORTANT: Mei Terminal is for informational purposes only. Nothing on this platform constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, nor an offer, recommendation, or solicitation to buy, sell, or hold any asset. Always do your own research and consult with qualified professionals before making any decision. Past performance does not guarantee future results.

4. MEI Token and Embers

MEI is an ERC-20 token on the Base network. The Terminal is no longer tied to MEI, and no feature requires holding it. MEI is not an investment, security, share, or financial instrument, and does not represent any ownership, equity, debt, or right to profit, revenue, dividends, or fees. We make no representation as to the value of MEI, and its value may fall, including to zero. MEI is acquired on third-party decentralized exchanges at your own risk. You should not acquire MEI with any expectation of profit.

Embers are non-transferable participation points with no cash or monetary value. They are not a security, a financial instrument, or a claim to any asset, profit, revenue, or fees. Embers — and any benefit associated with them, such as allowlist eligibility, access tiers, or vault priority — are provided at our sole discretion, may be changed, reduced, or discontinued at any time, and carry no guaranteed value or outcome.

5. Experimental Features and Smart Contract Risk

Certain features — including the Mei Vault and any on-chain interactions — are experimental and involve significant risk, including the risk of total loss of assets due to smart-contract vulnerabilities, market conditions, or user error. Where features are non-custodial, you are solely responsible for your wallet, keys, and transactions. Nothing we provide guarantees any return, yield, or outcome. Do not commit assets you cannot afford to lose.

6. User Accounts and Wallets

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use any account-gated feature of the Terminal. By creating an account you confirm that you meet this requirement. We may suspend or remove any account we believe belongs to a person under 18.

To use certain features, you must create an account and/or connect a self-custodial wallet. You agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information
Maintain the security of your account credentials and wallet keys
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
Be responsible for all activity under your account and connected wallets

6a. Daily Spin

The Daily Spin is a free participation feature. No payment, token spend, or holding of MEI is required to take part, and holding MEI does not improve the odds or grant additional spins. Each eligible account may take one spin per UTC day. The only outcome is an award of Embers, which are non-transferable participation points with no cash or monetary value and are not redeemable for MEI or any other asset (see section 4). Odds are published in the Terminal and are identical for every participant. The feature is offered at our discretion and may be changed or discontinued at any time.

7. Subscription and Payments

For paid subscriptions:

Payments are processed securely through Stripe
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period
Refunds are available within 30 days of purchase for annual plans
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the service for any illegal purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
Scrape, copy, or redistribute our data without permission
Use automated systems to access the service beyond normal API usage
Farm, game, or manipulate Embers or any participation mechanic
Interfere with or disrupt the service
Impersonate others or provide false information

9. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Mei Terminal are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

10. Third-Party Data and Services

We aggregate data from third-party sources including on-chain data providers, news outlets, and social platforms, and rely on third-party infrastructure (including decentralized exchanges and the Base network). We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this data, and are not responsible for third-party services. Third-party content remains the property of its respective owners.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, DIGITAL ASSETS, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mei Terminal and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

15. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the service.

16. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and, where applicable, Finland. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
